About the Founder

Kamyar Mohajer is a composer, technologist, and cultural entrepreneur dedicated to reviving the power of classical music for the modern age. As the founder of Timeless Society, he brings a rare blend of artistic vision and executive leadership to the foundation’s mission.

With over two decades of experience at the intersection of technology and culture, Kamyar was a founding member and Senior Vice President at SoundHound AI Inc., where he helped grow the Silicon Valley voice technology company to a multi-billion-dollar valuation. He led global strategy, product innovation, and international expansion — including serving as President and Managing Director for the company’s European operations. His ability to build and lead cross-functional teams across continents uniquely equips him to guide a digital-first cultural organization.

Alongside his tech career, Kamyar is an accomplished composer whose works have been performed across Europe and North America by ensembles such as the Alexander String Quartet and the Portland Youth Philharmonic. He has studied composition and orchestration with celebrated composer and Juilliard faculty member Behzad Ranjbaran, award-winning Stanford composer Giancarlo Aquilanti, and, most recently, the Lucerne-based professor of composition Derek Remeš.

With an educational background spanning computer science, music, law, and business, Kamyar founded Timeless Society to unite his passions: using technology and storytelling to make timeless music accessible, relevant, and emotionally resonant for a new generation.
